Welcome on board the craziest train one could hop on. We here are all far from sane, but then, who'd want it any other way really? Insanity is where it is all at.

Ive returned after a leave though I have been following the project.  I am ready to put my mathematic and programming expertise to use if you would allow me to do so.

Well, we're actively coding the RML intrepeter at the moment and there is some interest in poking around a couple of engines, so take your pick.

And welcome back  Cheesy

good morning.

I came here by the mmoworkshop community.

I'm interested in what rml is and what it can do for my projects.

I'm a .NET developer by day and gamedeveloper in my free time.

Been doing game design for well over 5 years now.

thanks,

Hi There Wink

I've got to update the documentation on the wiki, so bear with me.  I kind of like to think of RML as the be all - end all of virtual world design tools.  It requires designers to make the leap of thinking about their world abstractly and at a lower level than players would ever experience it.  Check out the current threads in the Requirements and Specs board.

Hey all I am Noctrine.

Also known as Jesse Dorsey, After reading something that Cayle posted on MMORPGmaker.com I decided that I should check this out.
Not really interested in helping with any part of the project though, although I am thinking about talking about this for an article on my website sooner or later (see, when I finish it to the point that I would let other people look at it).

I figure to do that I should probably look into it first.

 Wink

A good place to start is the wiki attached to the sourceforge project, especially this entry:  http://rulesetmodeling.wiki.sourceforge.net/memeoverview

Be warned that is is slightly out of date.  Ornaments and decorators have been folded into the metameme to simplify things and the documentation has to catch up.

Greetings...

My name is Tony Richards and I'm a programmerholic. Tongue

I'm the crazy guy spearheading the Zen Open Source Software projects including a game engine framework (Zen Engine), a game development and general purpose software development IDE (Zen Studio), virtual worlds middleware (Zen Worlds) and a compute cluster / datagrid (Zen Spaces).

I keep meaning to come over here and check out Project Angela to see if it's something I can use and/or lend a hand with.... so here I am Tongue

Hi, I'm Gillvane. I followed Cayle's link at MMORPG Maker to see what the heck was going on around here. Well, it's a bunch of physicists and programmers talking about stuff that's way over my head.  Wink

I own MMORPG Maker (the website), and although I'm not much of a programmer I do my best to provide a spot for indie devs to hang out and pimp their projects. I just thought I'd stop by and wish Cayle and company the best of luck with Memotica and Project Angela.

Hi noctrine, Tony. Where's a smiley that waves?  Huh I keep running into familiar folks as I make the rounds on various forums. I used to do research projects, and they said when you find yourself going in a circle, and all your sources start pointing to each other, that's when you know you're doing a good job.

Anyways, keep up the good work Cayle, and add more smileys.  Shocked
